Aftab Darvishi

She was born in Tehran on
July 21, 1987, in a music loving family.

She took up learning music at the age of 5 under the supervision of her father, Mohammadreza Darvishi.

She began playing the violin and held her first concert when she was 6. Afterward, she began playing kamancheh under the instruction of Saeed Farajpoori, Ali Akbar Shekarchi, and Ardeshir kamkar.
At the age of 12, she decided to take up piano professionally, focusing seriously on classical music. She has been playing the piano under the tutorship of Azad Hakimrabet, Gagik Babayan, and Tamara Dolidze. In 2006, she was honored as a student of exceptional talent and attended Tehran University for studying music. She is currently working on her thesis on composition under the supervision of Mohammadreza Darvishi and Kiawasch Sahebnassagh. She has studied harmony and music theory with Marina Aghabegiyan for 3 years. She started vocal training under the guidance of Shaya sadi and Azade Rezayi.

She is an active composer and her compositions include musical scores for different theatres, animations, and vocal pieces.
